Why have we selected this picture ! This picture goes beyond the simple photo shot of a young Cambodian girl playing during monsoon season. It is accurately conveying harmoniously, the intense, almost dramatic expression with a certain power, both beautiful and powerful. Indeed highlighted, is the smiling facial of the young girl, her obvious pleasure in enjoying this natural shower…drops of rain sparkling in the air. At last but not least, this shimmering mist in the background makes us wonder if this is the reflection of the humidity coming out of the ground or a gush of water the young girl is escaping from. The very fine surface texture which endows the portrait is also a delight for the eyes. Yvonne

Pourquoi nous l'avons choisi !

Cette photo va au-delà d'une simple image de petite cambodgienne jouant sous une pluie de mousson. Elle réussit à faire cohabiter un rendu dense, presque dramatique, avec une belle puissance dynamique. Il y a déjà l'expression rieuse de la fillette, son plaisir visible de cette douche naturelle. Il y a aussi ces gouttes de pluie qui font scintiller l'air. Il y a enfin cette traînée plus claire sur l'arrière-plan, dont on ne sait trop s'il sagit d'un effet reflet dans l'humidité du sol ou un jet que la gamine cherche à fuir. Nous ne boudons pas non plus notre plaisir devant un tirage jet d'encre soigné sur papier Fine Art !
